Remini Not Working? 7 Common Problems and How to Fix Them
When Remini misbehaves, it is almost never random. The same handful of causes explain nearly every complaint. Here they are, in the order I check them.
1. Enhancement Stuck on Processing
The number one issue, and usually not your phone’s fault. All the AI work happens on remote servers, so a weak connection or an overloaded server freezes the progress bar.
Fix: switch to stable Wi-Fi, wait a few minutes and retry. Peak hours are real. If it still hangs, restart the app and try a smaller image.
2. “App Not Installed” Error
This classic Android error usually means a conflict: an existing copy of the app signed with a different key is already on your phone.
Fix: uninstall the existing version first, restart the phone, then install. Also check your free storage. A nearly full phone fails installs silently and rudely.
3. Photos Are Not Saving
The enhancement worked, the result looked great, and then it vanished. Annoying.
Fix: open your phone’s Settings, find Remini in the app list, and make sure photo and storage permissions are actually on. Then check your gallery for a Remini album. Results often land there instead of your main camera roll. Still nothing? Free up space and export again.
4. Results Look Fake or Waxy
Plastic skin, glassy eyes, a face that is almost the person but not quite. The AI over-predicted.
Fix: use a better source photo if one exists, and ease off the enhancement strength where the app allows it. Compare with the before and after slider and keep the version where the person still looks like themselves. Sometimes less enhancement is the correct answer.
5. App Crashes or Runs Slowly
Fix, in order: restart your device, clear the app cache, close background apps, and update to the latest version. Huge images slow everything down too, so avoid uploading the absolute largest file your camera can produce.
If crashes survive all of that, reinstall the official version from Google Play. A clean official install fixes more problems than any trick on this page.
6. Parse Error While Installing
A parse error means the file is corrupted, incomplete, or built for a different Android version than yours.
Fix: download the file again on stable Wi-Fi and check your Android version in Settings, then About phone. And if any guide tells you to disable Google Play Protect to get past this, close that guide. That advice protects nobody but the person who wrote it.
7. Premium Features Fail in a Mod Version
The app opens, the Pro badge shows, and the enhancement fails at the processing step. This is the server check working exactly as designed. Premium features are verified against your account on Remini’s servers, which no file on your phone can change.
Fix: there is no local fix. The official free tier, a short Pro subscription, or the web version are the routes that actually work. Our safety section explains the full picture.
Still Stuck?
Work through the common issues section on the homepage, which covers these problems in more depth. Nine times out of ten, your fix is on this page.
